Choose a set HOPE 15 kWh has 3 battery modules of 5,12 kWh, i.e. 15,36 kWh. Set ARK 15 kWh has 6 modules of 2,56 kWh, which is also 15,36 kWh.

What is included in the price of magazine 15 kWhand what is not in it

Magazine Price 15 kWh This includes the battery modules and the equipment needed to run them, but does not include the inverter or installation. The same price is usually quoted for "energy storage 15kW price." Abbreviation BMS means an energy storage management system.

• The sets from the two series have BMS in modules: HOPE, ALP.
• Each ARK 15 set kWh includes 6 ARK 2.5H-A2 modules, controller HVC 60050-C2 and base.
• Magazine APX 15.0M-S3 has 3 modules: 1 master module APX 5.0M-B3, 2 modules APX 5.0P-B3The master module performs the function BMS.

Energy storage subsidy 15 kWh: PME 2 program rules

The PME 2 program applies only to Poland, and the call for grant applications begins on October 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and will last until October 1, 2027 (20:00 p.m.) or until the budget is exhausted (as of October 2, 2026).

The subsidy is equal to the lowest of three values. The first value is 30% of eligible costs. The second value is PLN 800 per 1 kWh nominal capacity. The third value is the amount limit: PLN 16,000 for net-billing (value-based billing) or PLN 8,000 for net-metering (quantity-based billing).

For capacity 15 kWh the second value is PLN 12,000, because PLN 800 × 15 kWh = 12,000 PLN. Only at 20 kWh This value is equal to the limit of PLN 16,000. About the amount of subsidy for energy storage 15 kWh the first value, i.e. 30% of the costs, is decisive.

The eligible cost also includes assembly. The rate is PLN 800 per 1 kWh will limit the subsidy to 15 kWh only for eligible costs above PLN 40,000.

• MOD-HU: 3 phase, 3-15 kW; backup power box is built into the inverter.
• MID-XH: 3 phase, 17–30 kW capacity range APX Thu 5–60 kWh.
• SPH BH-UP: 3 phase, 4-10 kW; range is 3-10 ARK 2.5H-A2 modules.
• WIT-HU: 3 phase, 4-25 kW; 3 modules also fit ALP 5.0L or 3 modules HOPE 5.0L-B1.
• SPF: off-grid, 1 phase, 3,5–6 kW; model SPF The 6000TL HVM-G2 also operates in a 3-phase system.

Low voltage (LV) or high voltage (HV) storage

Energy Storage 15 kWh, colloquially battery 15 kWh, comes in two voltage classes. The inverter determines the voltage class, so the buyer usually has no choice.

The LV class and the nominal voltage of 51,2 V are available in modules from three series: HOPE, ALP, AXETwo products have the HV class: the ARK 2.5H-A2 module, the magazine APXNominal voltage of the storage APX is 400 V in a single-phase system and 750 V in a three-phase system.

Energy storage 15 kW or 15 kWh – power and capacity are two parameters

The notation 15 kW means power, and the notation 15 kWh means capacity, so these are two different parameters of the same device. Many people type "15 kW energy storage" or "15kW energy storage" into a search engine and are looking for a storage with a capacity of 15 kWh. Kilowatt (kW) is a unit of power, i.e. the rate of energy release. Kilowatt-hour (kWh) is a unit of capacity, i.e. the amount of energy.

Product page APX 15 kWh states the maximum power of 7,5 kW according to the manufacturer's catalog card from July 2026. Let's assume that the house draws 7,5 kW constantly. A full storage will then release energy in about 2 hours, because 15 kWh ÷ 7,5 kW = 2 hours.

The inverter also limits the power of the entire system. Let's assume a single-phase MIN-XH inverter with a power of 6 kW. The same storage unit will then output a maximum of 6 kW, which is enough for about 2,5 hours. For example, two hybrid inverters have a power of 15 kW: WIT 15K-HU, MOD 15KTL3-HU.

Who is 15 for? kWh and how long will such a warehouse last?

Warehouse 15 kWh is for a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of up to 7,5 kWp, if you plan to receive the PME 2 subsidy. With an average consumption of 1 kW, it will last for about 15 hours, and with an average consumption of 3 kW, for about 5 hours.

The PME 2 program requires that the nominal storage capacity in kWh was at least twice the peak power of photovoltaics in kWp. Magazine 10 kWh meets this condition only for installations up to 5 kWp. An installation with a capacity greater than 5 kWp requires a larger storage facility in the program, and a storage facility of 15 kWh enough for 7,5 kWp.

Every home's energy consumption is different, so we use assumptions in our calculations. You can calculate runtime simply by dividing the usable capacity by the average power consumption. HOPE 15 kWh on 15 kWh usable capacity, i.e. 3 modules of 5,0 kWh.

Let's assume an average consumption of 1 kW. The storage will then last for about 15 hours. Let's assume an average consumption of 3 kW. The storage will then last for about 5 hours.

In a home with a heat pump, the result depends on the pump's power consumption. We don't provide this value; check the pump manufacturer's datasheet.

You can calculate the number of panels in the same simple way. Let's assume 450W panels. A 7,5 kWp installation would then require 17 panels, because 7,500W ÷ 450W = 16,7.

When 15 kWh is a bad choice – 5 mistakes when buying

Warehouse 15 kWh is a bad choice when the photovoltaic system is more than 7,68 kWp and you plan to get the PME 2 subsidy. The program then requires a larger capacity, for example 16 kWh or 20 kWhBefore purchasing, check out these 5 common mistakes.

1. Confusing kW with kWh. Capacity 15 kWh does not mean 15 kW power; warehouse APX 15 kWh has a maximum power of 7,5 kW.
2. Capacity by name instead of nominal. Set with inscription 15 kWh may be 15,36 kWh, and the PME 2 program takes into account the nominal capacity.
3. Inverter kit SPF with the planned subsidy. inverter SPF works without connection to the network (off-grid), and the program requires a micro-installation connected to the network. The program's FAQ excludes installations off-grid: if the network operator confirms the system off-grid, the subsidy will not be granted (question 2, as of October 2, 2026). Therefore, if you plan to receive a subsidy, choose a set with a hybrid inverter.
4. ARK 2.5H-A2 module with MIN-XH inverter with planned subsidy. The program requires island operation and understands it as an emergency power supply, and this connection is only for self-consumption.
5. Module AXE 5.0L-C1 in new installation. The manufacturer has discontinued this module, so we do not recommend it for new installations.

10, 15 or 20 kWh: the same series Growatt

Warehouse expansion from 15 to 20 kWh

Warehouse expansion from 15 to 20 kWh requires in series APX one module APX 5.0P-B3, and in series ARK two ARK 2.5H-A2 modules. You can check the prices and availability of the modules on the product pages.

• APX HV Battery 2.0: master module and up to 5 additional modules, from 5 to 30 in total kWh.
• ARK 2.5H-A2: from 3 to 10 modules, i.e. from 7,68 to 25,6 kWh.

After the expansion, the inverter continues to limit the system's power. The program treats modules connected to a single PPE as a single warehouse. Expansion to the required capacity is only possible with additional modules of the same model, if the manufacturer allows it. All parts must be purchased, installed, and reported to the DSO by November 1, 2025, and warehouses from two different manufacturers are not eligible (FAQ, questions 4, 13, and 14).
