The power selection begins with the cubic capacity and how much heat the room gains from the outside. As a guide, a well-insulated room requires around 100 W of cooling power per square meter, but this value increases with large south- or west-facing windows, uninsulated attics, and anywhere where heat-exchanging equipment is constantly in use. Under these conditions, the same power will serve a smaller area than a simple conversion would suggest.

Oversizing also comes at a price. An oversized unit cools the room quickly but in short cycles, which means it dehumidifies the air less effectively and needs to be switched on more frequently. An inverter mitigates this effect by reducing power consumption—this model's lower cooling limit is 1,000W—but it's best to maintain a reasonable, not maximum, power reserve.

What's included and what needs to be purchased separately

The set includes both units, a remote control, and a Wi-Fi adapter. To get started, you'll also need a refrigeration system: insulated copper pipe with diameters of 6,35 mm and 9,52 mm, a condensate drain, power and control cables, and brackets for the outdoor unit. The maximum length of the system is 25 m, which, for a typical installation in a single-family home, allows for considerable flexibility in positioning the outdoor unit.

Installation and initial commissioning are performed by an F-gas certified installer—this is required by law, not just by warranty. The same applies to subsequent inspections and any refrigerant refills. Efficiency and your electricity bill

SEER and SCOP don't describe power, but rather how much energy a device will consume throughout the season, given changing weather conditions—and therefore, they indicate more costs than the COP alone from a single operating point.
