Growatt APX 30 kWh this is the configuration APX 30.0M-S3 — the largest one described by the manufacturer in the family catalog card Growatt APX HV Battery 2.0. Consists of a master module APX 5.0M-B3 and five battery modules APX 5.0P-B3, forming a column with a height of 1750 mm and a mass of 278,2 kg.
This is also the point where the single cluster architecture reaches its limits in both dimensions: capacity reaches a ceiling of six modules, and power in a three-phase system reaches 15 kW, which is the maximum of the master module's electronics. Above 30 kWh expansion already means a second column and a second master module.
Why 30 kWh in generation 2.0 it fits into six modules
In previous generations APX The column opened with the Power Module—a purely electronic component, with no capacity. Thirty kilowatt-hours required six battery modules plus a control module, meaning seven components. Generation 2.0 packs the same energy into six, because the master module APX 5.0M-B3 brings in his own 5 kWh.

Configuration 30 kWh is one column composed of six elements: the master module APX 5.0M-B3 and five battery modules APX 5.0P-B3The master module sits at the top of the column and contains the battery management and its own 5 kWh capacity.
The base is included. The master module comes pre-assembled with the base, and the packing list includes the base and wall mount—no need to purchase a stand or a separate battery management box.

Single-phase installation? This kit will replace your meter at no extra charge. Who is this capacity for?
- Three-phase installations requiring full power — 15 kW maximum and 21 kW for 10 seconds are the highest values given in the card for a single column.
- Service facilities and small plants - 30. kWh covers the daily consumption of a workshop, car wash or office, including maintaining the load in the event of a network outage.
- Vehicle charging installations — energy reserve sufficient for overnight charging without drawing from the grid, while maintaining a morning reserve.
- Projects that can grow — the next step after 30 kWh there is a cascade - the first cluster remains unchanged, the next one is added.
30 kWh or two columns already
Thirty kilowatt-hours is the final capacity of the series with its own manufacturer's model designation. Anything above that requires another cluster, another master module, and—according to the instruction manual—floor mounting. The instructions stipulate a cascade of two or three systems. APX M-S3, with the number of clusters depending on the inverter. If the project has a realistic prospect of exceeding 30 kWh, it is worth planning a place for the second column already at the first stage.

Peak power is 14 kW/10 s in single-phase and 21 kW/10 s in three-phase. The data sheet does not include depth of discharge, round-trip efficiency, or number of cycles.

Installation and working conditions
At 278,2 kg and 1750 mm high, wall mounting is no longer a practical option. The catalog card still lists both variants for the series, but the manufacturer's footnote explicitly states that when wall mounting, ensure the wall can support the weight and that floor mounting is recommended. For this configuration, we consider this a binding recommendation and plan for floor mounting only.

Compatible inverters
The user manual indicates cooperation with single-phase inverters of the MIN-XH and MIN-XH2 series, and with three-phase inverters - with the MOD and MIDThese are the only families listed in the manufacturer's document and we only declare them.
The inverter is the second system limitation, next to battery capacity. The data sheet stipulates that the system's power is limited by the inverter's maximum charge and discharge power. Six: one master module APX 5.0M-B3 and up to five battery modules APX 5.0P-B3. That gives you 5 to 30 kWh in one cluster.
Is the base included?
Yes. The master module is shipped pre-assembled with the base, and the packing list includes the base and wall mount. When adding battery modules, the base is removed and moved to the bottom of the speaker. The base is from an older generation. APX does not fit - older modules have a projection of 690 × 185 mm, 2.0 modules have 590 × 255 mm.
How much power does a 30-story magazine have? kWh?
In a three-phase system, 15 kW maximum and 21 kW for 10 seconds. In a single-phase system, 10 kW and 14 kW for 10 seconds. The power of the entire system is additionally limited by the inverter.
Is warehouse 30 kWh can you hang it on the wall?
The data sheet lists wall or floor mounting for the entire series, but the system weighs 278,2 kg, and the manufacturer recommends floor mounting and requires confirmation of the wall's load-bearing capacity for the wall-mounted version. We plan to install the system on the floor for this capacity.
What next if 30 kWh will it be too little?
The operating instructions provide for a cascade of two or three systems. APX M-S3, in floor mounting. The upper limit depends on the inverter: series MID-HU supports up to three clusters, series MID-XH — up to two; the manual doesn't specify this for the MOD series. Our cascade configurations end at 60 kWh.
