Growatt APX 20 kWh – the capacity at which a single-phase system reaches the power ceiling
Growatt APX 20 kWh this is the configuration APX 20.0M-S3: master module APX 5.0M-B3 and three battery modules APX 5.0P-B3, total height 1220 mm and weight 188,2 kg. This is the first capacity in the family Growatt APX HV Battery 2.0, in which the storage reaches the maximum power allowed in a single-phase system, i.e. 10 kW.
This has a specific consequence when choosing. Up to 20 kWh power increased linearly with each module, 2,5 kW. From 20 kWh In a single-phase installation, the power no longer increases—the subsequent modules only add energy. In a three-phase installation, the limit is higher, at 15 kW, so the increase continues there. This difference is the most common reason why 20 kWh may be the right stopping point for a single-phase house.
What does generation 2.0 change with larger speakers?
Four modules in a column is a configuration where the way they connect matters most. The 2.0 cover sheet describes the structure as a stacked design. with no wiring — modules touch each other without inter-module wiring. In previous generations, the same energy was built from five elements because the control module had no capacity.
Set composition 20 kWh
Configuration 20 kWh is one column composed of four elements: the master module APX 5.0M-B3 and three battery modules APX 5.0P-B3The master module sits at the top of the column and contains the battery management and its own 5 kWh capacity.
The base is included. The master module comes pre-assembled with a stand, and the packaging includes the stand and wall mount—no need to purchase a stand or separate battery management box. The stand is from an older generation. APX doesn't fit: older modules have a projection of 690 × 185 mm, 2.0 modules - 590 × 255 mm.

Single-phase installation? This kit will replace your meter at no extra charge. 20 kWh and the number of phases - what to pay attention to
In a single-phase system, configuration 20 kWh gives 10 kW of maximum power and 14 kW of peak power for 10 seconds. In a three-phase system, the same values are 10 kW and 14 kW. Up to this capacity, both paths are identical - they diverge only at 25 kWh, where the three-phase system goes up to 12,5 kW and the single-phase system stays at 10 kW.

Installation and working conditions
At 188,2 kg and 1220 mm high, wall mounting becomes an exception, not the default. The data sheet allows for both options, but the manufacturer recommends floor mounting. When planning your space, remember that the specified dimensions of 590 × 1220 × 255 mm already include the system's base.

Compatible inverters
