Energy storage for photovoltaics It retains energy produced during the day and releases it when the system is not in use—in the evening, at night, or during a power outage. In this category, you'll find lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. Growatt in two voltage classes: low voltage LV (series AXE, ALP, ARK, HOPE) and high voltage HV (ARK series, APX, AXE, ACE), as well as a balcony storage room NOAH for microinverters NEO.
In brief: modular batteries from 2,56 kWh (ARK) for cabinet systems 209,6 kWh (ACE); class LV for single-phase inverters and off-grid, HV class for three-phase inverters; expansion by adding modules; wholesale offer PVGroup.pl for installation companies with discounts visible after logging in.
What is energy storage and who is this category for?
The energy storage is a set of battery modules with a management system (BMS), which works with a hybrid inverter or a battery-ready inverter. This category is designed for installation companies and integrators who select the capacity based on the end customer's consumption profile—from single-family homes to industrial facilities. All batteries in the range use LiFePO4 cells and are covered by a European service warranty.
LV or HV class - where to start choosing?
The basic selection criterion is the voltage class imposed by the inverter:
- LV (low voltage, approx. 51,2 V) — work with single-phase SPH inverters, inverters off-grid SPF and selected models WIT. Examples: AXE 5.0L-C1, ALP 5.0L-E2, ARK 2.5L-A2, HOPE 5.0L-B1, HOPE 14.3L-A1, HOPE 16LM.
- HV (high voltage, hundreds of volts) — work with three-phase inverters SPH, MIN, MOD, MID and WIT. Examples: ARK 2.5H-A2, APX 5.0P-B1, APX Gen 2.0, AXE 5.0H-E1, ACE 209 AM - 2 PM.

Energy Storage 5 kWh, 10 kWh or 20 kWh — how to choose the capacity
Modular battery design Growatt allows you to combine virtually any capacity from the same series. Be careful with the units: when looking for a 10 kW energy storage unit, you're most likely looking for a capacity of 10 kWh — the power is provided by the inverter and the capacity by the battery.
- Energy Storage 5 kWh — single module series AXE 5.0L-C1, ALP 5.0L-E2 or APX 5.0P-B1, possibly HOPE 5.0L-B1 (5,12 kWh).
- Energy Storage 10 kWh — two modules of 5 kWh (AXE, ALP and/ or APX) or four modules ARK 2.5L-A2 (10,24 kWh).
- Energy storage 15–16 kWh — three modules of 5 kWh, single battery HOPE 16LM (16 kWh) or HOPE 14.3L-A1 (14,3 kWh).
- Energy Storage 20 kWh — four modules of 5 kWh (AXE and/ or APX in the expansion range of 1–6 modules) or eight modules ARK (20,48 kWh).
- Over 30 kWh — clusters AXE 5.0L-C1 scales to 400 kWh, and the wardrobe ACE 209H-2H holds up to 209,6 kWh for industrial inverters WIT.
The price of an energy storage device depends on the voltage class, series, and number of modules. Our sales team can help you choose the right capacity for your consumption profile.
Energy storage and emergency power supply
The battery alone is not enough to maintain the power supply – the inverter provides the emergency function. Growatt the emergency power supply function is provided by, among others: three-phase hybrid inverters series SPH from UPS, single-phase hybrid inverters and industrial inverters WIT with UPS function. For grid-independent systems, check inverters off-grid SPFthat work with LV batteries.
Ready-made sets and accessories
If you are looking for a battery already assembled for a specific inverter - BMS, base and cables - go to category photovoltaic sets. Modules BMS, back-up boxes, energy meters and racks can be purchased separately in the category accessories. Mobile power sources can be found in the category portable stations.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an LV battery and an HV battery?
An LV battery operates at low voltage (approximately 51,2 V), while an HV battery operates at voltages in the hundreds of volts. The classes are not interchangeable: an inverter only accepts one of them, so selection always begins with checking the inverter's requirements.
Can the energy storage be expanded later?
Yes - batteries Growatt have a modular structure. For example, ARK 2.5L-A2 scales from 2,56 to 25,6 kWh (1–10 modules), APX 5.0P-B1 from 5 to 30 kWh (1–6 modules) and clusters AXE 5.0L-C1 allows you to build systems up to 400 kWhThe condition is that the versions of the modules in one chain must match.
Which battery fits the SPH single phase hybrid inverter?
For single-phase inverters SPH LV batteries fit: AXE 5.0L-C1, ARK 2.5L-A2 and HOPE 5.0L-B1. For three-phase inverters SPH HV battery is used ARK 2.5H-A2 with module BMS HVC 60050-C2.
How much does an energy storage facility cost? 10 kWh?
The price depends on the voltage class and series - two LV modules of 5 are priced differently kWh, or rather, an HV stack for a three-phase inverter. Current gross list prices are listed on the product pages, and installation companies, after logging in, see prices net of VAT with a wholesale discount.
Does the energy storage work during a power outage?
It depends on the inverter, not the battery itself. Inverters with UPS or EPS function (e.g. SPH, MOD series with built-in backup, WIT) can power dedicated circuits from batteries during a grid failure. An inverter without this feature will shut down along with the grid.
